Vehicle Description
This 1960 corvette has a poor black paint job and needs to be restored, it was found with 70's vintage 8 tracks in the car, just to confirm how long is been off the road. The great and rare thing about this car is that it was without a doubt a rare and real 270 hp car (tachometer has never been touched). Another rare aspect is the rare light blue interior (evidence is everywhere, the dash, the door panels, some blue on the convertible top mechanism). It was originally a white car (could not verify it had the silver coves). It was painted black in the 70's, probably when it was retired as a drag racer. I have the owner history (the longest previous owner is deceased but his wife is still in detroit area, I have some paper work and insurance card).

There were 2,364 270hp cars made, 920 metallic brakes (car comes with shoes and springs found in the trunk), 1,032 light blue interior (the rarest). I can't verify this is one of the 333 blue tops (there is light blue paint on the top mounting brackets). If I were to retore it I would put repro RPO276 wide wheels and dog dish caps on it because the car has all the signs (270hp/metallic brakes) to deserve it. But I leave it to the next owner to do that. The big items I think are of value are the 23% of production 270hp aspects and the best color (10% of production) blue interior.

This car has been off road since the 70's (came up from florida and sat in a detroit area garage). It looks to have had some engine + trans changes back to the mid 60s, 1965 to be exact. There are some 65 vintage headers on it. Figure on starting from scratch on restoring the drive train. It starts and runs, but it needs to be gone through to be safe. I have not had the time to give it a tune up but she would drive up on a trailer just fine.

Vehicle Condition
This car would need to find replacement fender wells. It has had the fender wells partially cut out and reinserted (because my guess it had headers exiting behind the front wheels at one time). The way they were removed was unbeleivably clean and did not mess up the fender lips. I am convinced it was drag raced or road raced, and the dual quad became a high rise manifold setup that stuck up through the hood (evidence is obvious on this car). The nice thing is that all the key fiberglass on the car (hood, fenders, doors, trunk) show that she has not been in any type of major accident (I just can't find it and I know these cars pretty well). I bought the car because I did not want to do extensive fiberglass rework or frame work. I did notice the driver side rear fender has detached from the the bonding point up in the wheel well, that would need to be re-glued.

I would also like to add that the deck lid over the top is not the best. I would look for a better one if one is to restore the car. It will need a grill and a lower valance attached. The one on the car is ok but it just does not close down perfectly.

The doors close like a dream on this car, no droop or sag, and the fit flush and nice. I have not messed with anything on this car, so this perfect door fit is the original fit.

The frame is a highlight on this car, as well as most of the fiberglass. I have a friend with a 57 corvette that is having all types of steel added to his rusty frame. He highly praised the frame on this car aying it was extremely nice. This is not a rusty crusty frame car, you will get what you pay for out there.
